Dr. Petrofes attended MIT and received her BS in Biology in 1976.
She obtained her MD Degree from Harvard Medical School in 1980. Dr.
Petrofes completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of
California-Davis Sacramento Medical Center in 1983, where she met her
husband, Dr. Dale Harris. After fulfilling three years with the
National Health Service Corps on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, they
then joined Dunes Family Health Care in 1986. She has maintained
certification as a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice since
completing her residency.
The couple has two children, Abby and Patrick Harris. Dr.
Petrofes has enjoyed participating in school and community activities.
